Events in Newquay: Santa Claus will make a timely and much anticipated return visit to Newquay’s Trenance Heritage Cottages on Saturday, November 26 to take up residence in a specially prepared Christmas Grotto.
This rotund red-coated gentleman will arrive at Newquay railway station on Saturday, November 26 at 10.10am where children of St Columb Minor Academy will make him feel welcome with a selection of festive songs. Their families and friends are also invited to attend and join in the singing before Santa heads off to Trenance.
Santa’s Grotto will be open – and visitors welcomed – from 11am to 4pm. On the following day, Sunday, November 27 Santa will be there from 10am to 4pm, This jolly, and much loved, chap will be back at the cottages the following weekend – Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4 – again from 10am until 4pm.
A spokesperson for Trenance Heritage Cottages said, “The heritage rooms will be decorated in keeping with their Edwardian period, there’ll be a beautiful Nativity scene and the Trenance volunteers will provide activities too.
All this is included in the entrance charge of just £3.50 for children and £1 for adults. Every child will have a gift from Santa.”
