Newquay’s Festive Festival is ready to light up the town on Friday, November 24 in a spectacular start to Christmas celebrations. Organised and funded by Newquay BID, Newquay Town Council and Newquay Lions, this year’s event is set to be bigger and better than ever before!
New for this year are fire breathers, a Christmas balloon modeler, the Ice Queen, elves on stilts and plenty of live music.
The excitement starts at 4pm at the bottom of Marcus Hill with festive DJ and host Jay Day getting the crowd ready with Christmassy tunes. Unity Dance and Mind and Jumping Out jazz duo then perform, followed by Cornish choir Oll an Gwella with traditional songs and carols.
Daisy Clark is on stage at 6pm, along with a light show from Impact Lighting, before the Big Countdown to Christmas with Jay Day, Pirate FM, Santa and Daisy Clark all helping to switch on the Christmas lights.
There is late night shopping across the town until 8.30pm and fireworks over Newquay Harbour (organised by Newquay Town Council) at 8.15pm. So come and join the fun and start your Christmas in style with Newquay’s Festive Festival on November 24.
